The UpRank blog is written for founders and small teams who need to know what it costs to get a product in front of people. This page explains how we work.
What we cover
We write about the cost of promotion channels, directories and launch platforms, pay-to-rank boards and the numbers behind clicks and customers. We publish UpRank’s own board data where it helps readers judge what a placement is worth.
How we check figures
- Every figure has a source. Prices, benchmarks and rules are linked to the page where we read them, with the date we checked it.
- Platform rules come from the platform whenever the platform publishes them, such as minimum budgets in an official help center.
- Estimates are labeled as estimates. Most ad platforms do not publish average prices. When a figure comes from an agency, a vendor or a survey, we say so and name it.
- Sellers are named as sellers. When a source sells the thing it measures, such as a newsletter network reporting newsletter prices, we say that too.
- Prices change. Each article shows the dates its sources were checked. Figures are valid as of those dates, and we update articles when they change.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research and with checking and tidying drafts. Articles are planned, edited and approved by people, and every figure is checked against its source before publication. We do not publish articles generated without review, and we do not let a tool decide what we recommend.
Our economic interests
UpRank runs a pay-to-rank board, and this blog belongs to it. Articles about pay-to-rank boards and our own data say so where it matters. We may also have economic interests in some of the tools, platforms or services mentioned on this blog. When we compare channels, including our own board, we apply the same method to all of them: what you pay, divided by what you get.
We do not accept payment to include, rank or praise a product in an article.
Corrections
If you find a figure that is wrong or out of date, write to hello@uprank.lol and we will check it, correct the article and update the date of the source.
